We are a group of authors who have had a long and successful career in education and publishing. We feel it is time to give something back to the educational community for its commitment to using our textbooks for over 20 years. Several million students have purchased at least one of our textbooks, but you will now be able to start using those same textbooks along with the teacher's resource material for free.

With the current price of a new algebra textbook approaching $110 and publishers bringing out a new edition every three to four years just to prevent students from selling their used books, we have decided to create a site where the textbooks are free. We wish to share our knowledge of mathematics with anyone who wants to learn new material, increase their current understanding, review previous topics, or just explore mathematics. We hope this will be a useful resource for families doing home schooling, people tutoring mathematics, schools that cannot afford to purchase up-to-date textbooks, and anyone else who can benefit from our materials.

We have posted one of our beginning algebra textbooks linked to student's solutions manual and instructor's resource manual. The instructor's resource manual includes tests, quizzes, syllabus, challenge problems and teaching tips. You will be able to view it on the web, or download the textbook and the solutions as complete sections.

We (Wesner, Nustad, Mahler, and Ailawadi) have always been grateful for the opportunity to be teachers (over 155 years of combined teaching experience) and feel fortunate that our classroom success led to a long running publishing career. Schools in all 50 states, the provinces of Canada, and many foreign countries have chosen one or more of our textbooks to be used to teach their students mathematics. We have published more than 50 textbooks and over 400 supplemental books such as workbooks and teachers resource manuals.

Countless classroom teachers have sent in valuable comments regarding their experiences while using our textbooks in their classes. These helpful suggestions have played a major role in making the material a successful learning tool for the students using it. We feel that our personal interaction with students is the key ingredient in the development of all of our textbooks. Read through the list of more than 250 Teacher Contributors.

GetMath.com Educational Software has joined forces with Freeload Press in helping liberate the textbook so students from all financial backgrounds can use these important learning tools. The textbooks are supported by advertising, which is placed in natural breaks within the publication. Freeload Press offers free textbooks and study aids in Mathematics, Business and Computer Applications. And we are adding new titles daily. Our list of free textbooks includes works by some of the leading academic authors in their field. GetMath is bringing more than 30 textbooks and ancillaries to the FreeLoad site for free download. Several million students have purchased at least one of our textbooks, but you will now be able to start using those same textbooks along with the resource material for free.
